Durbanville win the Raft Race. This is the first team to
successfully make use of a paddle wheel at the back of their
raft. Foot-powered, but it worked.
Some rafts lose direction and take the competition
out with them.
The Raft Race is a popular spectator event
on the Sunday morning.
