The Kon-Tiki Fringe was started in 1993 to keep the support
crews busy and was a fun event. It has grown to be an integral
part of the Kon-Tiki experience and the action starts just after the
raft launching and is completed before the rafts return to shore.
The Andrew Lawson "Dolphin" Trophy is strongly completed for
and a lot of fun is had by all, except for the Scouters and Guiders who
give a whole new meaning to the phrase "stressed out."
The fringe events are: Volleyball, Tug-O-War, Kneeboard Relays and a
Cross-Country run.
